ITVX February round up

ITVX's February performance continued to build upon January’s very positive start to the year: streaming hours were up +36% versus 2023, and half of all viewing came from under 45s. In fact, February delivered ITV's second highest monthly reach of 16-34s in the past 12 months.


ITV continue to see evidence of ITVX's migration from a catch up service to an on demand destination with the growth of binge watching.


Top February highlights include:


  • 23 million monthly reach

  • 322 million streams (a 19% increase year on year)

  • 50% of viewers are 16-44s

  • 91% awareness of the platform amongst adults


Largest monthly reach of all commercial Broadcaster Video on Demand (BVOD)


Across every demographic, ITVX shows the largest monthly reach of all

commercial broadcasters, including 16-34s and Housepersons with children.



Monthly reach across all key demographics were up year on year


Reach to key demographics showed healthy improvements year on year, driving with particularly strong gains among Housepersons with children where reach increased by 6 points to 47%. 



The 'boxset drop' continues to grow


Entire series, such as Trigger Point were available to view on ITVX following episode 1's first airing on ITV1.


Two strong dramas in February – Trigger Point and covid drama Breathtaking helped to drive box set viewing to 13% of all streaming hours, up from 3% in Feb 2023 – clear evidence of ITVX’s migration from catch up to on demand service. destination.


Top February series of February on ITVX


Trigger Point was the top performing show on ITVX in February after being released in late January. This was followed by a new drama, Breathtaking, and the conclusion of Love Island All Stars.


The 4th most popular title was the documentary TikTok: Murder on Viral, which shows the breath of genres available on the platform.


Entertainment and Comedy also make an appearance in the top 10 with new ITVX Exclusive, G’Wed, and Saturday evening staples, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and The 1% Club.
