ITVX Celebrating Six Months of Success

ITVX are celebrating after establishing themselves as a market leader in the streaming market after launching the new platform in December 2022.


Replacing ITV Hub as the online home of all ITV content, viewers have received a new and improved product experience, and with more new shows for free than anywhere else, chances are your target audience will be watching.



One billion streams in just over four months


ITVX officially hit the one billion streams mark on Easter Sunday this year, just over four months after they launched the new service. Their most successful year prior to this was in 2022 when it took nearly 7 months to reach the same milestone.


Awareness of ITVX is at 85% amongst adults


With over 20 thousand hours of commissioned and acquired UK and US series, shows and blockbuster films across all genres, it's no surprise that awareness of ITVX is high; at 85% amongst all adults and 90% amongst lighter viewers.


Available on over 22 platforms


ITVX is now available on over 22 different platforms across smart TVs, mobile devices, consoles and browsers including (but not limited to) Amazon Fire, Android, Apple, Freesat, Freeview Play, LG and Samsung TVs, Sky and Virgin Media, plus the launch of ITVX on Sky Q boxes - a new platform for ITV.


Most recently, live channels are now available within ITVX on LG devices via Freeview Play, bringing live ITV content to even more viewers.


Over a quarter of ITVX’s streaming hours are by 16-34s


Love Island is still the biggest show across the prized 16-34 demographic. With the return of a Winter edition in January and the Summer series returning to our screen last week, there have been over 180 million streams of Love Island in 2023 alone. Whilst on the platform, 16-34s have also been catching up on some of the classics that ITVX has to offer including American boxsets with 47% of The O.C.'s streaming hours from 16-34s, 52% of The Vampire Diaries' and 59% of One Tree Hill's.
