The TV landscape has transformed dramatically in the past five years, and it’s fair to say that watching television has never been better. Gone are the days of boxy, grainy TV sets with oversized remote controls and just three channels, and let’s not even mention VHS and Betamax!

Today, we enjoy stunning 4K HD resolution (with 8K on the horizon), and whilst other technology gets smaller and more compact, our TV screens are getting bigger and bigger.



Faster broadband speeds have revolutionised the way we watch TV


In 2013, only 20% of households had broadband speeds of 30Mbps or more. By 2023, that number had soared to 88%, making internet-based TV more accessible than ever.

This boom in funding has attracted Hollywood level talent, with actors, script writers, producers and directors, usually the reserve of the silver screen now appearing on TV screens in our home.


It’s not just drama benefitting from this uplift in quality, the depth and variety of programming now available has also never been better. The richness and quality of all genres ensures that all our viewing needs are exceptionally well served.


This really is the golden age of TV viewing. Never has the technology that we utilise been so advanced, never has the content been so good and never have we had so much choice and control over what we can watch.
