Frequently asked questions
Yes, you have 48 hours after sending the booking form to cancel the campaign. However, once your campaign is booked and confirmed, we’re unable to offer refunds. This is because TV airtime has to be purchased from broadcasters in advance, and once secured it cannot be resold or cancelled.
That said, if you need to make changes before your advert goes live, please contact us as soon as possible — we’ll always do our best to help adjust or reschedule your campaign where broadcaster rules allow.
TV advertising is one of the most powerful ways to reach audiences, but like all forms of marketing, results can vary depending on factors outside our control — including your advert’s creative content, your offer, your audience, and market conditions.
AdPilot® ensures your campaign is delivered exactly as booked, to the audience you’ve chosen. While we can’t guarantee a specific outcome, we’ll provide you with clear reporting so you can see how many people your ad reached, and we’re always on hand to share best-practice advice to help you get the most from your campaign.
Please be aware that no agency or organisation can guarantee increased returns on your investment. Be wary of those who do.
We place your ad wherever your target audience is most active. While they usually span multiple channels, there are times when we may not be able to access one or more of the platforms listed. Rest assured, the audience targeting and number of impressions you’ve booked will always be fulfilled.
Remember, if you're watching Sky, for example, and are NOT your target audience, it's unlikely you will see it.
Social media platforms and ‘broadcast’ TV follow very different rules. On social media, your advert only has to meet the platform’s own standards. On TV, every advert must be independently checked and approved by Clearcast, the body that ensures ads meet UK broadcasting regulations.
This process protects both advertisers and audiences — making sure claims are accurate, content is appropriate, and your ad is legally compliant before it airs. Don’t worry: AdPilot® will guide you through this step and make sure everything is in place for your campaign to run smoothly.
Social media and broadcast TV are governed by very different standards. On social platforms, ads only need to meet the platform’s own policies. On TV, every single advert must comply with strict technical specifications (sound, picture quality, aspect ratios, file formats, etc.) as well as advertising regulations.
That means a video that works perfectly well on Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube might not meet the technical broadcast standards required by ITV, Sky, or Channel 4. It’s not about the creativity — it’s about ensuring the file is broadcast-safe and compliant for national transmission.
Traditional TV advertising is powerful, but it’s often seen as complicated, expensive, and out of reach for most businesses. AdPilot® changes that.
For the first time, you can book TV ads with the same ease as booking on Google or Facebook — no jargon, no lengthy negotiations, and no insider knowledge required. In just a few clicks, you can reach highly targeted TV audiences across major UK broadcasters, with full control over budget and scheduling.
It’s quick, simple, and accessible — putting the power of TV advertising into the hands of every business, not just the big players.
It's up to you! But ideally, speak to VADSWORK Limited first and get an idea of what you need, the costs involved and timescales. Once they’ve helped you produce your creative asset, you can make your booking.
It's worth bearing in mind that for TV, the creative process can take as much as six weeks, depending on the scale and complexity of the creative message.
Pay-per-click and pay-per-lead models work well online, but TV advertising is very different. Broadcasters sell airtime, not outcomes. When you book a TV campaign, you’re buying guaranteed exposure to a specific audience at specific times.
Think of it like booking a billboard: you’re paying for thousands of people to see it, not for each person who walks into your shop afterwards. The role of AdPilot® is to make that TV airtime accessible, affordable, and highly targeted — so you get the maximum possible value from your campaign.
That said, we do provide clear reporting, and we’re always happy to share best-practice advice on how to optimise your creative and targeting to increase your chances of turning viewers into customers.
AdPilot®. Becoming an affiliate means you can earn commission by introducing new advertisers to the platform.
The benefits? You’ll be aligning yourself with a genuinely disruptive product in the TV advertising space, offering your network a smarter, easier way to get on TV — while creating a new income stream for yourself.
If you’d like to know more, simply get in touch with our team and we’ll discuss the best way to work together. Commission arrangements are agreed on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature of the partnership.
